This privately owned site has no tie to a government body, sheriff, jail, or corrections department. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers FCRA-covered credit, employment, insurance, or tenant-screening services. This is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

Links to Other Services

Links may lead to release records, sheriff and corrections offices, government portals, legal resources, and outside search tools. A link does not endorse the destination. Scott County Released Inmates is not responsible for an outside operator’s content, privacy practices, terms, security, or uptime.

Service Without Warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No promise is made about:

  • Accuracy, completeness, or currentness
  • Continuous or uninterrupted access
  • Freedom from errors, defects, or security weaknesses
  • The scope or quality of a partner’s search results

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, MODOC, a court, or another government agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its operators will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access to or use of the site, its content, or linked services.

User Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs caused by that visitor’s use, misconduct, or violation of these terms.

Intellectual Property

Unless stated otherwise, the site’s text, graphics, logos, design, and code belong to Scott County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, altered, or republished without written permission.

Changes to the Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. Updated terms take effect when posted, and continued use after posting means the visitor accepts the revision.

Suspension of Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without notice, including when use threatens the service, violates these terms, or harms another person.

Missouri Governing Law

Missouri law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Missouri.
